“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 Since our last update we have re-entered lockdown, still have no decision regarding our residency permits, faced country wide protests, lost our entire backyard chicken flock to a fox, and 3/4 kids have returned to distance learning until the end of November if not longer. Ministry has not been easy during the pandemic. But as American Thanksgiving approaches, we are reminded that we still have SO much to be thankful for! :: THANKFUL :: ”Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 While regular on campus evangelism has not been an option for Ben this fall, he has been invited into another student group to teach them how to share their faith! These students are thankful for his encouragement and were even able to go out to practice sharing their faith! We have been able to focus on building community. This Saturday, Ben is hosting a campfire for the men of our church at our garden plot! Krista continues to be involved with the Polish branch of Love God Greatly. She is thankful for the new LGG Women’s Bible that was just released and for the upcoming Advent Bible study. She is also thankful that the women group at church is currently doing the LGG study on the book of Esther! :: CHALLENGES :: Returning to ‘distance learning’ for our kids school has been both a blessing and a challenge. As we mentioned in our last update, the logistics of the Polish system are exhausting for us. Teaching grades 1, 2, 3 simultaneously in a 2nd language are also somewhat challenging, but the boys (& Krista) are doing great! We had to make some decisions early on this time about what would be healthy for our family. And for now it seems to be going well! Praise God. On November 1st, one of Krista’s closest friend gave birth to a baby boy, Matthew. The doctor’s knew before he was born that he would surgery. Yesterday they performed a 6 hour long open heart surgery to repair his aorta. Praise God he made it through the surgery! Please pray for him in these next few days that are critical and his parents Kasia & David, who can not see him until 2 weeks after the surgery. We are so thankful for YOU - for your PRAYERS and support that sustain us during these challenging times! While we are far from our extended families and uncertain when we will be able to see them - we are reminded that it is God who sustains us and holds our lives secure. Love from Poland, Ben & Krista Taylor
