Fall update |
General |
I love autumn! It is a season with new beginnings, programs, and opportunities. I have always appreciated the start of a new school year. My ministry season seems to follow a similar pattern. Summer is a time where people seem to step out of their schedules and everything slows down, including therapy. However, once school starts, schedules are fuller and the pressure is back on, I receive more phone calls for therapy and the ministry is full. I love what I do. I love that I have the privilege of walking with people in their healing. I love it when people gain understanding in areas of their life where they had previously struggled. And I love when I can bring Jesus into the conversation to add to the healing process. As I mentioned in my previous update, covid caused a crisis of mental health. This crisis continues, and many people are hurting and looking for help. Because of my ministry being under Youth Unlimited, I have the opportunity to provide therapy to all youth connected to one of our programs. And because of the generous donations, I can offer up to ten free sessions. Many of our youth would have to wait for up to a year, sometimes longer, but through Youth Unlimited they can have access to counselling in a couple weeks. So thank you!! I was also thrilled to be invited to be a part of a mental health team that serves our staff across Canada. In May I was able to attend a staff retreat where I could offer counselling for those attending. Thank you for your continued prayers and financial support!! It is greatly appreciated!
